Convert Your DC Power To AC

Changes your battery DC current to AC current.  Home appliances run on AC current @ 120 or 220 Volt, 60 hz (USA).  An inverter can change 12, 24, or 48 Volt DC to 120 or 220 Volt AC

Modified Sine wave inverters provide AC output at a inexpensive cost. Some appliances will not run properly with Modified SineWave inverters such as computers & TV's & some power tools, and some products that have timers like washer/dryers. AC motors ususally work fine with MSW. Sine wave inverters cost the most money and are the only units that can connect to the grid for net metering. Sine wave units actually produce a better waveform than the utitility grid in most cases. Another type that is sold is a square wave inverter which is the least expensive type of inverter. Go Sine Wave if at all possible. We recommend all new systems to be 24v, or 48v for grid tie only.

Easily upgraded when new software, or when updated circuit boards come out in future the owner can easily install on the job. Or, if a ciruit board goes out, you can install it instead of sending the "whole" inveter back - like Xantrex requires. Extra boards can be purchased as backup in case of failure aslo. Very remote customers like this emergency feature.   Mfg Web Site www.outbackpower.com
