NEED MORE POWER? - Install A Mini Wind Farm!
Most people have an inherent pre-conceived notion that a property should have only ONE wind turbine



When most people get serious about alternative energy they do not just get ONE solar panel, they get 4 or 5 and sometimes 10 or 12 if they really want to cut the power company off. Well the same philosophy applies to wind turbines! Putting up just ONE wind turbine is not going to create any kind of electrical miracle, it takes many turbines to make and impact on your power bill. The old "ONE Wind Turbine" mentality does not work in this era of the smaller and un-intrusive mini turbines. The idea is to put up as many as you can and mount them lower. Not disturbing your neighbors is the key to opening the wind market in America. Having several small, low profile wind turbines doting your property does not seem to bother people! With this tactic it is as if the wind turbines are almost invisible on your property! 42,000 customers have proven this point very well in the last 5 years.

Hopefully in the next few decades Americans will also learn to accept Wind turbines as icons of energy independence. In Germany over 200,000 wind turbines now dot the sky line. These wind turbines have come to be admired as "Majestic Giants" by a modern and progressive society that is no longer making the middle east any wealthier.

    Eagless have broken a major pricing barrier and for the first time it makes sense to put up a mini wind farm instead of one large wind turbine.

    It puzzles us to see people putting in 10 solar panels and ONLY one wind turbine and then wondering why the wind turbine puts out less power than their 10 solar panels. If you put in 10 Eagle wind generators and ONLY one solar panel then you would be wondering why the solar panel puts out less power.
    Re-educating the public into realizing that having multiple wind turbines is not only a practical solution but an absolute necessity for creating low cost electrical energy. The inherent misconception of having only ONE wind turbine per property is a myth that has to be actively talked about and challenged.

    (You need to be in an area that has good wind near ground level like high deserts, coastal or mountain tops and passes) There are plenty of areas with good wind near or close to ground level. There is much talk of having very tall towers in the wind turbine industry but NOT every area requires this type of strategy. If you can feel a strong breeze while walking on your property you are in a perfect spot for a low level mini wind farm. There are millions of sites all over the world that have good low level wind characteristics just perfect for mini wind farms. ALSO READ BATTERY TALES BELOW!!!

    BATTERY TALES:

    Hints for people that are attempting to operate a household and are not on the grid:
    Get a fork lift battery! Try calling places that sell used fork lifts. The 12 volt batteries that run fork lifts are the best! Many of these old batteries are discarded because they can no longer operate a fork lift for a full 8 hour work day but they still have enough operational life to run your household for many decades. Many can be bought at recycling prices and still have 100 times more amperage than a brand new bank of automotive type batteries that will only last for 2 or 3 years.

    Lifespan of battery types while engaged in demanding alternative energy use:
  • Cheapest bargain store bought automotive battery - 6 to 8 months life before it goes to the junk heap.
  • Professional battery store bought Trojan T105 battery - 2 to 3 years life before it goes to the junk heap.
  • Professional battery store bought Trojan L-16 battery - 4 to 7 years life before it goes to the junk heap.

Wind Turbine "Twist proof wire" - Forget about old fashioned slip rings! Welding wire is 10 times more dependable! (Note: We do sell most wire and sizes for solar and wind applications. We do suggest waterproof conduit when running wire underground instead of "UF underground rated wire" for DC applications - experience. Make sure you also prevent water from entering the conduit once it is out of the ground. Some people put some silicone around the wire inside the conduit. If the conduit does not go into a box then get a couple of 90 deg. ells and face it down w/the silicone at the end.)

Warnings:

PMA's are very polarity sensitive. Make sure you connect positive to positive when making your final battery connection!!! If you see sparks coming from the connector at the time of electrical hook up you may have the positive lead going to negative side of the battery. This may cause fires and burn out the coils in your PMA immediately.

Please note that these blades are very sharp and can cause severe injury if handled improperly. Treat these blades with the same respect you would have for a sharp sword.

These blade sets can turn at well over 2000 RPM on a windy day and can cause severe bodily injury when they are spinning. Use extreme caution! Never mount or work on a wind turbine on a windy day. Never place a turbine in any area that can be accessed by inexperienced persons or children. We assume no liability for ANY injuries caused by these products.

NOTE: WIND TURBINES SHOULD BE LOWERED BEFORE ANY MAJOR STORMS JUST AS GOOD PRACTICE!
KEEP UNUSED TURBINES UNDER ELECTRIC LOAD. (Short out wires to prevent free spinning)
(SHORT OUT THE POWER WIRES WHEN NOT IN USE OR IN THE CASE OF EMERGENCY LOWERING - If the blades still turn too fast don't short out the wires - a dead short could overheat the turbine, just bring the tower down slowly.)
